 I came to this industry after working as an Accountant for over 20 years. With a wife and three young children to take care of- protection of income is very important to me. 

My family dealt with trying to secure good long term care for my mother in law a few years back. It was a shock to see the costs of some of these facilities and the length of the waiting lists, plus the  emotional hardship of dealing with this while continuing to take care of our kids. 

I urge people not to overlook the importance of planning ahead. Leaving a  burden on family and friends later in life is very hard.
